We have never watched a single episode of 24 or Gray's Anatomy. The first time we saw an episode of Everyone Loves Raymond was following all the publicity regarding their show going off the air. When our daughter worked as an extra on "Lost" we bought the entire first season or two. What in the world is that all about? |

Kat & John LaFevre

Kat and John LaFevre are Gatlinburg, TN, locals who live in a log cabin high in the mountains. They are avid hikers and love the Great Smoky Mountains.
The LaFevres, who have lived all over the Midwest and have always been avid hikers, were thrilled to discover the hiking opportunities in Great Smoky Mountains National Park after John's employer transferred them to the area.
"We soon discovered how much more enjoyable a hike can be when you know what natural and historic treasures can be found along the way," says Kat.
Kat had a bachelor and master's degree in Elementary Education, taught for several years, and now works as a VIP (volunteer in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park). She is also assisting with the national park's Outreach Program, an educational community initiative and was recently elected to the National Board of Directors, A Christian Ministry in the National Parks. Kat is working on her goal to hike all of the nearly 850 miles of trails in the park.
John majored in English and Communications and is a business consultant and motivational speaker. He has written feature articles for the Wall Street Journal's National Employment Weekly and many national magazines. He is a published author of a successful business book, How You Really Get Hired, with Simon & Schuster and was the songwriter/winner of the 2002 Telly Music Video Award for "Freedom is not Free".
