I'm not exactly a speed demon, but I do like to go and watch the professionals.  This year they seem to be doing a North to South route ending up in Atlanta. 

ON-ROAD

The two biggest racing events in Georgia are the Tour de Georgia multiday stage race (www.tourdegeorgia.com) and the Athens Twilight criterium weekend (www.athenstwilight.com). Both events are held in April. There is also race series gracing Georgia, the Georgia Cup (www.georgiacup.com), as well as a few stand alone races such as the Historic Roswell Criterium (www.nalleyhrc.com). Other websites worth checking out for road, time trial, and criterium information are those of USA Cycling (www.usacycling.org/events/) and Southeastern Cycling (www.southeasterncycling.com).
