My Details
- Clubs or Organizations
- I am a member of the Sonoma County Trails council and volunteer time to work on the many beautiful trails this wonderful county has to offer.
- Epic Adventures
- I've always loved the outdoors but have only recently in the past few years really been able to spend a majority of my time exploring this great planet. I'm working my way around California but have plenty more to see. My father is an avid cyclist and has turned me into an aspiring cycle tourist. I've toured the Southern California coast and all over Northern California. I had a close call in Utah, more about that in the blog.
- Recent Achievement
-
Surviving a flash flood and helping lead a group of 20+ stranded hikers while exploring the Narrows in Zion National Park.

- Gear
- I would have to say my recent purchase of a full suspension cross country mountain bike. I rarely see less of Annadel State Park than I do more of it. I love the speed and freedom of crankin up and down the beautiful rolling hills of Northern California.
- Favorite Outdoor Activities
- Everything under the sun. I really love to ride my bike, whether it be across the state or down a singletrack through gargantuan redwood trees. I love being able to pack up a backpack with everything you'll ever need for days or even weeks at a time and see where I can get lost next. I've recently become interested in paddling and now looking for a touring kayak.
- Favorite Outdoor Destinations
- California offers many great, well known National Parks, but there are so many state parks here that are just as deserving of all outdoor patrons.
- Trail Companions
- The heart beating strong and fierce inside me, leading me to new experience and understanding.
- Books Published
-
None yet but I'll be working on that over the next few years.

My Interests
- Movies
- There's too many out there to start naming them. I do enjoy classics, comedies, documentaries and historical based films that really put you in the past or the future.
- Hobbies
- I love hiking, biking, paddling, getting dirty workin on the trails, helping any and all people, taking long drives when I feel I've neglected my car enough, listening to new types of music, playing the drums or any instrument I can get my hands on, losing myself in a good novel or non-fiction (the nerd inside), long walks on the beach of course, cooking and yes cleaning (I can really get going in the kitchen.) and I love my job educating, outfitting and ispiring REI members for a lifetime of outdoor adventure.
- Books
- Samuel Clemens and Mark Twain, John Steinbeck, Thom Hartmann, Neil Peart, John Krakauer, Jack London, James Joyce, Arthur C. Clarke, Thomas Jefferson
- Television
- I try not to let those little bright lights get my attention for too long, but who isn't fascinated with Discovery, and as a history buff, of course the History Channel. And I need a good dose of Jon Stewart and the Daily Show every so often to keep from going insane.
- Music
- There's not much out there I don't like. I really think Neil Peart is a genius and look up to him in every way. I really enjoy music that breaks down genres and isn't afraid to explore the sounds and influences of multiple cultures.
- Favorite Beverage
- Well I love a good micro brew but my favorite night cap is Jameson Irish Whiskey on the rocks. Living in the Russian River Valley, pinot practically runs through my veins now.
- Favorite Food
- I'll try anything twice.
